For children, a farm holiday is an extraordinary experience for life. Nature is probably the largest playground for children. Here, they can unwind, watch, ask questions, help, laugh, romp, make friends with other kids, smell and taste the country life, simply be a child. It is a different experience when you know where the milk comes from that stands on the breakfast table in the morning, and gives the cereals a unique taste – or when you have fed the chickens that lay the delicious eggs for breakfast. They may experience, for example, how we feed some of our animals with food scraps, which thus may be utilized optimally. This way, your offspring learns what it means to be responsible for the animals that give us our food. As hosts, we are happy when the children spend time with our animals, and we will be happy to explain everything that is part of our work at a South Tyrolean farm. Furthermore, there is a playground for the children with a large trampoline and plenty of room for romping, playing, and experiencing nature. Many parents are amazed at how well their children sleep here and how little TV they watch after a long day in the fresh air on our farm in Casies. In case of bad weather, there is a selection of children’s books, as well as a variety of table games to spend time and bring the whole family together.
